In the small shop at Norrtullsgatan 3 in Stockholm you will find an oasis of creativity and design. If you are lucky you may meet both Bengt and Lotta there at the same time. The couple met at Konstfack in Stockholm and have since enriched the world with their playful design.
Bengt says that he has always liked old things, especially clumsy, simple folk art objects. He believes that things that are perfect can often become a bit boring. Lotta also likes things that are a little different and, above all, things that make you happy.
Bengt & Lotta's unique patterns and illustrations have adorned best-selling candlesticks, paper products, fabrics and jewelry. Today, their work is represented in the permanent collections of the Nordic Museum, Kulturen in Lund and the Glass Museum in Växjö.
If you visit the small combined shop and studio in Stockholm, you will be surrounded by trays, lamps, porcelain, napkins and many ideas, still in their infancy.
Now Bengt & Lotta's characteristic patterns have become a brand new collection of wool socks. In the successful collaboration between Bengt & Lotta and Cai, playful colors have been combined with good material choices. This has resulted in a sock collection with both design and function in focus.
